FICRA’s fundraiser theme this year is “Our Big Fat Greek Fundraiser” – Santorini style! You will love the Greek heavy appetizers, specialty drinks, and the show. This year we have the ABBAgraphs performing – an ABBA tribute band delivering all your ABBA favorites (including songs from Mama Mia – how fitting)! The show alone is worth the price of the tickets! The band begins at 6:30 but doors open at 5:45 for cocktails, the silent auction and mingling.
And, of course, we have both the silent auction and live auction events. We will be auctioning off excursions to the Greek Island of your choice, an excursion to Bali for two and an excursion to Bali for eight (so the entire family can be together or a fabulous “Girls’ trip”)! Keep in mind, the elephant sanctuary is only a short drive away (always on everyone’s bucket list)! Plus, we have an overnight stay in a luxury treehouse and dinner on the island, a fishing charter with dinner, Gig Harbor’s famous gondola ride with extras, and so much more!
Keeping up our historic 1935 schoolhouse on the National Register, can be time consuming and costly, but so well worth the effort. The Nichols Community Center is a hub of activity for our islanders. Both the building and the garage (used to be the old Island Fire Station) are always in need of some repairs, our parking lot needs to be enlarged, the old well house removed, etc. There are always lots of capital improvement needed.
Attendees, be sure to bring your credit card for the goodies in both auctions plus our “raise the paddle”! If you are not able to make the event, we would always love a donation. The more we raise financially, the more we can do for our community. We couldn’t do all we do without your support.
